Home Kitchen - Sliced Raw Fish Gingko Nut Congee

I took up Ade's challenge to cook and shoot sliced raw fish congee, the difiiculty being to shoot an otherwise plain dish.

I decided to add some ground gingko nuts and beancurd skin to the congee to add some character and increase its nutritional values.

To top things off, I created a flower by rolling the sliced raw fish and "float" it on the congee for a look that is decidely different from the traditional and conventional way of presentation.

Home Kitchen - Curry Chicken

I never thought that I'd cook curry until requested by Adeline.
I certainly had to oblige considering that Ade will be travelling all the way from Pasir Ris to my place to dine with us and then going all the way back again! Truly 有朋自远方来,不亦乐乎!

I bought a whole chicken for even though there's only the 3 of us (better to have surplus than shortage), plus some potatoes and a large baguette.

It was truly a great compliment for me as the entire pot disappeared!

See.Food.Photography - Tiramisu

I was so busy over last weekend that I hardly have any time to have a good rest, much less cook and shoot something.

However, true to my shutter addiction, I still managed to get a shot along the theme of food being that of Tiramisu served in the lunch reception of a wedding ceremony held in the Waterfal Terrace of Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.
